Welcome to my blog!

I am thrilled (and a bit frightened) to be a part of the blogging world! For those of you who have no idea what blogging is and you just visited this site to be supportive, I love you for it, and don't worry - you're in good company! Basically, this blog is like an interactive journal of sorts where I record my progress on my first novel, The Heart's Journey Home, and all of the thoughts and feelings that go along with the writing process. I may even ask for your feedback on certain topics related to my novel.

You'll also learn more about me! (Scary thought, huh?) Like that grammar is not my strong point, as you've probably already figured out! If you click to read my complete profile, you'll find out that my all-time favorite movie is "Forrest Gump" followed closely by "The Miracle Worker" and there are plenty of other tid bits. Somedays I'm silly and crazy, somedays more solemn, and somedays a wacky mixture. My writing reflects all of my emotions. As I become an open book and share my thoughts with you, my hope is that you get to know me even better than many of you already do.

So what is The Heart's Journey Home about, you might be wondering? Sorry, but I'll have to leave you guessing for a while. What I can tell you is what it says in the title of my blog - it's an inspirational story of hope and healing. And it has an underlying theme of seeking God's perfect plan for one's life. Throughout the pages of my book, my characters embark on a personal, faith-based journey and just when they think they have it all figured out - ah ha! - a fork in the road! As is typically the case in real life, right?

I'd love to hear your experiences with hope, healing, and/or seeking God's plan for your life. For those of you unfamiliar with the blogging world (like me up until a few days ago!), if you'd like to leave a response of any kind, just click on "comments" at the bottom of the page right after the post, type in your message, and then click on "Publish Post". Also, make sure you subscribe to this blog. If you leave your e-mail in the box where indicated, you'll get a notification everytime I make a new post. I hope that through time, as you journey through this process with me, I will make you proud enough that you will want to share this link with ALL of your friends and family! That would be the best compliment and the biggest blessing I could receive!

Well, I guess that's it for now. Thanks for visiting! As I was considering how to close this, my debut post, I thought about something like "Parting is such sweet sorrow" or "Happy trails to you" but they just weren't right. They weren't me. So I decided on . . . "Y'all come back now, ya hear?"

Jennifer, I vote for Jennifer Dominick...you bring part of your father into the name. Of course, including your middle name or initial would be good also. You have such a pretty name.

Luv ya,
Shirl

Hey sis,
I vote with Daddy! I have always like Jenni Lynn. I like how that sounds. HOWEVER....I like how J.L. Stephens looks....very sophisticated. Not much help huh? Doesn't really matter. You'd sell millions regardless of your name. Love ya, Bonnie
